Hold on. Keep in mind that even the best basements are likely to get some water in right now becasuse the ground is completely saturated.
For small cracks you can get a sealer that you paint of the walls. Can't remember right now what it is called but they have it at Home Depot.
If you have a lot of water in your basement then you will have to call in a professional. I had to do this 6 years ago in my Dad's house. They dug a trench about twelve feet long and about 8 feet deep (until the bottom of the foundation, outside as my basement was finished ) then they rolled out a tar like substance from a roll onto the outside wall and glued it on there. Not one leak since. It cost a couple of thousand dollars at the time but I had no choice. I don't remember the name right now but if you look in the phone book under Basements you will see several companies. They can differ a lot in price though. Get a few bids first. I remember getting bids that ranged a lot.
Also, check your window wells and window seals. The leak might be coming in there as water tends to build up in the wells in weather like this. Best to get those plastic covers on them asap.

You also want to go out and check your gutters and the runoff pipes. If they aren't moving the water away from the house, it's very likely that it will flood your basement. Also, make sure water isn't running over the gutters which could indicate it's blocked and needs to be cleaned.
You should also check all the chalking around the windows on the outside. Chalking that is old and cracking can cause the basement to flood.
