Well, I started my new job...

And so far, I love it. The work, substantively, is so incredibly interesting and really, really rewarding. I've been assigned 5 cases already, and unbelievably, I feel like I'm already getting the hang of things...

But, I still feel soooooooo out of my element. When I was younger, it was so much easier to jump around from job to job, meet new people, and adjust to the new environment. Now that I'm older, I'm finding it's harder. It's really uncomfortable going from an environment where you know everyone and have a very comfortable routine, and rapport with everyone in your office, to a place where you're a complete newbie, and feel like an outsider, now matter how much they try to make you feel comfortable.

I know, with time, I'll adjust, and I'll be happy as a clam. I think I'm just realizing that I've turned into an old dog whose a little more stubborn at learning new tricks Chat Icon

You'll start feeling at home in no time! Chat Icon

But I know what you mean...anytime that I've entertained the idea of leaving my job (even though I love it here) the thought of having to be a newbie again is really unappealing.
