Anxiety Meds

I need some BAD for my flight in 3 weeks.
I have anxienty attacks on planes if I dont take anything.
Last few times I have taken Xanax..which I see is CAT D..no good..

Doctor today helped me look up some other things and everything came back cat c or d.

He said benadryl is cat b...so that may work

ANyone have any suggestions on anything else thats cat B that I could look into taking?

Thanks

Re: Anxiety Meds

I feel the same as you about flying. Here is what I did:
1- made sure I had an early flight - so I woke up at the crack of dawn. Did not pack or do laundry until the night before we left. I was exhausted for the flight to Hawaii, that all I did was walk around, and go to the bathroom a few times. The rest of the time is was too tired to get anxious.
2- MY SIL who is in to herbal remedies suggested this stuff called "rescue remedy" by Bach Labs. I purchased it at GNC. It is flower essences and you put a few drops into a water bottle and drink the water. This helped so much and my doctor said that is was Ok to take. There is no goldenseal in it, I checked. IMHO, this is WAY better than a valium or something.

I was fine on all four flights to/from Hawaii. I hope this helps.

Re: Anxiety Meds

Maybe 2 tylenol PM's - I don't know if they are safe or not. I try to sleep on planes, make myself stay up late the night before or something. I USED TO take xanax too - I would take it frequently for anxiety. No more.

There was another thread about tylenol Pm on this board today. Sounds risky to take it.
Trust me the rescue remedy work really well.

Re: Anxiety Meds

Tylenol PM is just extra strength tylenol combined with benadryl. If you're used to taking Xanax not sure if this would really help you.
