Disney Question

Have any of you traveled to Disney with your children? We are planning a trip in May. My daughter will be 13.5 months. The travel agent is telling us that we don't need to bring a carseat. She says that all the "transfers" accommodate infants/toddlers. I find this hard to believe. We were planning on buying a seat for Grace on the plane and bringing and putting her in her carseat but now I wonder if it is necessary. I think I would be more comfortable bringing the carseat. Thanks in advance.

Most of the transfers don't have seatbelts, the only accomdations I have seen is they have more room so you can keep your child in his/her stroller.

Thanks Laurie. Its so confusing. I was going to check the stroller. Do you know if they let you bring a stroller on the plane? The only reason I ask is b/c once you check your bags you won't see then until you get to the hotel. Such decisions! Maybe we should rent a car and bring the carseat to be on the safe side.

Re: Disney Question

We went for a week last April when Andrew was 11 months old. And we definitely brought his car seat without another thought - one for the plane and two because we rented a car and wanted his own seat.

ETA: We also brought a small, yet sturdy umbrella stroller that we used all the time, and had him in it right up until we boarded the plane, at which time we checked it at the gate right before getting on the plane.

yup, you can "gate check" your stroller.

Basically when you get to your gate you ask the desk agent for a tag for it. Then you roll down the jetway and leave it in their for an employee to put under the plane. When you get off most of the time it will be waiting for you. If not you might just have to wait a few minutes in the jetway by the door for it to come up.

But since your flying to Orlando. I would think there will be tons of strollers so just follow the lead :)

You can do the same with the carseat if you didn't purchase a seat and want to take a chance that their may be an empty one.

Where also probably going to go in May when my husband gets home... maybe well see ya there. Jack will be 12 months at that point but we will drive.
