Hopefully last day care question

Hi Ladies-I'm so sorry to post again about this!

I tried a search for Hicksville but didn't see anything.

DH's job may be moving from NYC to Hicksville next year and, if so, we would want to put our baby in day care near his job so he could maybe pop in at lunch. His boss would be in jersey city so he thinks he could do that! Chat Icon

Anyway, so now I want to book a place in E. Northport AND in Hicksville to be on the safe side! Chat Icon

You ladies were so helpful with E. Northport suggestions that I was wondering if the Nassau moms had any recommendations for places in or around Hicksville!

Again, feel free to FM me if you are more comfortable and I really appreciate your help!

Thanks so much!!
Ariella

Re: Hopefully last day care question

I checked out a daycare in Hicksville that I really liked - Kiddie Academy. They had a long waiting list at the time I needed it so I didnt go with them but I thought the place was nice and the program seemed well run.

Sort of close to North Hicksville in Syosset -- there is a Tutor Time (off of 25/Underhill Blvd.) and Kiddie Academy by the Syosset train station. That Kiddie Academy had a violation when I was researching back in December and no wait list.

Re: Hopefully last day care question

Are you aware that in order to secure a spot, you have to put down a deposit - not sure if it's refundable or not. I think we had to put down $595 to hold a spot for Peyton.

I know you mention that you want to be able to pop in but in my opinion, the likelihood that you'll do it is probably slim. I thought that I would pop in too. I've had my kids there for 2 years now and I haven't popped in other than "picking them up earlier" and not picking them up at my normal schedule.

Hope this helps.

Marybeth- DH really thinks he'll have time to "pop in" Chat Icon Not sure how realistic he is being..... I didn't realize about the high deposit- thanks for that info! Chat Icon
