Christening Question
Jenna is being baptized on Sunday, is it still customary to get the Godparents a corsages and bouteniers(sp)?

Growing up it's what I saw whenever there was a christening. I'm from and old fashioned Italian family so I'm sure there are still old fashioned traditional people in my family that still do it. I wouldn't. In my opinion I don't think you need corsage to make the godparents feel special. For me, the honor of being a godparent wouldd make me feel special. And it's how i've felt when I christening my 2 godchildren.

I didn't. I think it's a nice touch but not necessary.
I'm not a big fan of wearing them though, but I'm sure it would have been appreciated if I had thought of it & done it for my kids' godparents.

I think it's not necessary but of course everyone is different and are definitely entitled to do whatever they want...

we just had a christening two months - DH (the godfather) and the godmother got them
It was a nice touch and helped them to stand out a little since everyone was dressed in suits
