I think if I had a choice of 5 days in jail IN OAHU or 6 weeks of 40 hours of community service, I'd opt for the 5 days. I'm thinkig Oahu jails aren't that dangerous.
I'm all for community service regularly but that's a longer punishment. I'd just want to be done.
Can't comment on the show since I haven't watched Lost.

The funny part to me is the comment the producer made. I know my employer wouldn't continue to employ me if I had so many run ins with the law.

I agree- 240 hours is a lot of picking up gargabge on the side of the road
5 days in Jail For- is really only 3- I had a freind who had to do 3 days for DWI- her lawyer had her go in on a friday of a holiday weekend- since they couldn't release her on monday b/c it was a holiday- they had to realease her that day- so her 5 days became- 3 - which became few hours- and I bet she does the same things
