Sleeping through the night
When did everyone's infants start sleeping through the night? I feel like all of my friends' babies started earlier than Logan. He is 11 weeks ( and 15 pounds!) Any tips??

Re: Sleeping through the night
Are you kidding??! 11 weeks?? I wish! Alex JUST started sleeping from 7pm-5am, waking only once for 15 minutes, and she's 5 and a half months... up until 5 months she was waking 3-4 times a night!

Re: Sleeping through the night
The midwives here keep saying that technically sleeping through the night is five hours of uninterrupted sleep.
Noah is 9 weeks and for the last week has been sleeping from 10 pm t0 5 am, downs a 4 oz bottle and sleeps until 7.30 am, just in time to say bye bye to daddy in the morning. It makes for a very happy mommy

Re: Sleeping through the night
Depends how you define sleeping through the night. If you mean it as usually sleeping the hours mommy wants to sleep (10 pm - 5 am), it took 9.5 months.

Re: Sleeping through the night
Emma will now (at 3.5 months) sleep from 8:30pm to 8:00am - waking up 2-3 times to eat. I'm lucky that she goes right back to sleep.

Re: Sleeping through the night
My son started at 11 weeks sleeping 11pm-6ish. He did that until he was about 4 months and then after that we were lucky to get a night where he didn't wake up. He would go 3-10 times a night (not for food - separation anxiety, teething, dropping the paci, etc.) IT was harder than he was younger. But the past minth he is finally starting to sleep thru consistently 9:30-6:30!! But he also 13 months!!

I have a very good girl. Alison is 11 days old and sleeps from 10pm to 8am waking only one time to eat and goes back to bed. I hope it doesn't change

Re: Sleeping through the night
Jack is 3.5 months and he started at 8 weeks. I started giving him 6... 5 ounce bottles a day, making his last bottle at around 7:30. Then I would put him down around 8:30.... he sleeps till 7 am.
Also, in the beginning I did but now I dont, let him nap between 4 -8 anymore. Sometimes he is really tired but I go through my routine and just put him down earlier... like 7:30 or 8.
Good Luck!

Re: Sleeping through the night
Bella slept from 10-3 and 3:30-7 every day since she was about 6 weeks old. She dropped that middle of the night feeding on xmas exe when she was 3 1/2 months old (on her own, we tried and failed to coax her into it a few weeks earlier)

Re: Sleeping through the night
I'm a lucky one, I have a child that loves to sleep. At 3 months, and pretty much since then, Andrew's been sleeping 12 hour nights (9-9).

Re: Sleeping through the night
considering that sleeping through the night is 5 hours....Aly has been doing it since Super Bowl Sunday. There are some nights she goes down early (7:15) and sleeps for 4-5 hours, eats and goes back to sleep and other nights she goes down later and wakes around 2:30-4:30 to eat.
LAST NIGHT she ate at 10:15 (we were out) and put in her crib and had her last fuss around 11 and fussed around 2:30 (didn't eat...went back to sleep on my shoulder when I picked her up) and since she did NOT wake up I did not feed her and then went till 6:45!!!
