Acupuncture Questions
Questions for ladies that have been doing acupuncture:
Is it okay to do when you AREN'T to IVF yet? Or is it only recommended when doing IVF?
When you started, did you have to start on a certain CD? Or can you start at any time?
How long does it usually take?
Does it hurt?
TIA!!

Re: Acupuncture Questions
You can start anytime! The sooner the better.
During your cycle they may want to see you at more specific days.
A session is about 30 minutes.
ETA- I don't think it hurts...you might feel a twinge when the needle goes in, depending on where they put it.

Re: Acupuncture Questions
I've been going for about 5 months now. My BF went when she did IUI, which is what got me to go (she has a beautiful baby boy).
My sessions are usually 45-50 minutes. Normally I fall asleep during the sessions. Once in a while a certain needle may hurt but just for a moment. I go once a week. But after transfer, I went the day of, and the 2 days following.
Good luck!!

Re: Acupuncture Questions
I did acupuncture in between cycles. I did it when I had my m/c, I had to wait 2 cycles and did acupuncture in between.

Re: Acupuncture Questions
I've been seeing an acu for over a year. I go weekly but recently I switched to every other week/ Unfortunately my acu is away for this IVF cycle and I might use Kara's
