Pumpkin Picking for the insane...
He's got 2 more days left of furlough & wants to spend as much time with the kids as he can - forget that he's ripped out our bedroom walls and we have NO insulation until he fixes it or the fact that our stove broke last night (well, ok that's my dream kitchen so I shouldn't complain about that...)
My husband just announced to our kids that we're all going pumpkin picking today - even though it's raining. They're going regardless of whether I go or not - so now I have to go & be the voice of reason.
I'll post our mudsoaked pumpkin pictures later today...

Re: Pumpkin Picking for the insane...
I'm not sure....white post farms market will be open, you could give them a call and ask if the pumpkin picking is going on......

Rather than trek through the mud - we compromised on White Post Farms (thanks for the suggestion!)...

They are really cute... I need to get pumpkins and I don't want to go in the rain... I guess if your kids can do it so can I.

I know what you mean about the work thing - but there are non-negotiable days off for me like birthdays & halloween. In fact the first year I told him I was talking off Halloween, he said "What if I said no?" I said "Then I quit, but if you're looking to hire someone on November 1st, I'm available"
I just took off today because he was taking off for Yom Kippur and I thought it would be a day without him messaging me...it seems I was wrong though.. isn't he supposed to be atoning today?
--Thanks for all the compliments

i actually was talking with the bosses today about days off...and how I really want to be more of involved in the little things that so many of us take for granted. It will be a big deciding factor on weather I stay at this job or not
