Walmart.com
Be careful of stuff like napster and yahoo music. You don't get to keep the songs forever. They will only work as long as you have their membership...so just keep that in mind when choosing the site. I'm an iTunes gal myself.

Find the folder that contains the music and drag the files into iTunes. iTunes will do the rest.

Re: Where can I download songs onto my Ipod?
Hi everyone. As a songwriter, I REALLY have to chime in on limewire. Please take a second to read:
As far as I know, limewire still has not settled with the RIAA as far as paying royalties to writers and artists. I believe it is still like napster was when it first came out. Downloading songs without paying really hurts us. It usually costs an independent artist about $2,500-$3,000 to record ONE song. Please don't take it for free. There is really no difference between downloading a song for free or slipping a candy bar in your pocket in the 7-Eleven.
And it is not just independents. Lets say you download a Mariah Carey song. Well some guy or girl may have cowrote that song of which they make 7 cents per sale!!! Most of them are regular writers trying to pay a mortgage, raise a family, etc...
So it is up to all of us, to convince everyone we know that downloading or sharing music for free is ethically wrong.
Please use iTunes. They are the best with making sure artists get paid for their songs. 99 cents is not a lot to ask for.
Thanks for reading.

Napster & Limewire are also full of viruses.
I use MP3 Rocket which I pay for a membership for.
Ocassionally I will also get a song from ITunes.

Re: Where can I download songs onto my Ipod?
I used to use Limewire a lot, but find that the files are either corrupted or incomplete a lot of the time. Plus, there is no way of knowing wether the song is explicit or not. Itunes just ends up being safer and easier...and at a dollar a song it's not a bad deal.
