What to wear to boat wedding

My cousin's having his reception on the Nautical Princess on a Saturday evening in May?
Would this be an appropriate dress to wear? Should I dress the same as if the reception was in a catering hall?

Advise greatly appreciated!
Thanks

Make sure to bring a shawl or wrap since it can get really cold.

Are they having a formal or black tie wedding? It's fine then - but otherwise, I feel that's it's too fancy for a boat - I'd wear something more casual.

And I would definitely bring something to wear over it...We do a boat cruise around Manhattan every May with school and its always freezing - that is if you want to go outside at all.

I love it!! I agree bring something nice to wear over it! last year at my husbands end of the year party (on a boat) I bought an expensive dress and I ended up wearing my coat the whole time! I whish I would have gotten a nice sweater or shawl!!

The inviation didnt say anything, so def. not black tie. I would also assume a little more casual but that it;s in the evening is throwing me off.

OK, don't think I'm weird, but I think it's the beading that is making it look a little too dressy to me. However, I would rather be overdressed than underdressed. I do love the dress, though.

Re: What to wear to boat wedding

I would probably wear something a bit more casual and dress it up with nice shoes and jewelry

I don't know if boat automatically = casual. My friend is having a wedding on a boat & I think it is like a regular non-black tie wedding, but also on a Saturday night.

I decided to wear it with a shawl. I rather be overdressed than underdressed and I believe NOW they are treating it like a regular non-black tie wedding.

Thank you all.
