Today is my "Friday" So I worked this week from Tuesday -Thursday and it was not too bad. The first day was rough, but I have been so busy at my office that I did not have time to dwell on how sad I felt. Turns out that DD was all smiles at day care all week and smiles when I picked her up, too.
I just wanted to share. I know a lot of ladies on this board are going back to work soon and I wanted to give you hope. Here is what I learned this week:
1 - The first day is HORRIBLE, but it does get better. 2 - Getting into a new routine/schedule will take a few days 3 - you will be tired the first week 4 - your DH will be an invaluable resource and help (even if you don't think he will help, trust me he will step up to the plate). 5 - Laundry, food shopping, cleaning, etc. will all get done...just not on the days you work 6 - TAKE OUT, PB & J, and salad were our dinners the first week. I wish I had make a few meals ahead of time and froze them. 7 - Your DC will give you the HUGEST smile ever when you pick them up
