How soon do you lose the water weight after birth?
Just wondering--I am sooo swollen-my feet and hands and just hopeful that I will lose it fast after the baby is here.

About 2 weeks for the major swelling to go away. But at 3 weeks post partum my hands are still a bit swollen.

I can sympathize with where you are at. When I was pg with my son, I had such terrible edema, I had to wear an old pair of shoes unlaced for months. I was so disappointed to see that they were still swollen after he was born. I feel silly now but I thought it would go away right after he was born. Like the others who replied, I think mine took a week or so to go away. What a joy that was to feel unswollen!!!
