Paint Question (2nd question in org. post)
Ok this may be dumb..but please be kind....this is the first time I am really doing any hands on house projects.
We are painting our dining room, which has molding on the floor. Which do we paint first?
The walls cranberry or the molding white?
***Added question
Now, I am doing 3 walls one color and the 4th a different. what is a good technique to make the corners look nice?

Re: Paint Question
I did the moulding first in my room (probobly wrong)...but it was easy to just be clppy with that, then when it was time for the walls, I just taped em out.
Good luck with your project!

Re: Paint Question
Typically you should remove the molding before you paint the wall.
If you decide not to, I would do the wall first and tape the molding.
After completing the wall and letting it dry, tape just above the molding on the wall and paint your molding.

Re: Paint Question
My painter started with teh moldings - no taping since moldings are typically white. And then the wall color (he didn't tape, but if I were painting on my own - this is where you would tape)

I would do your lighter colors first, let them dry, tape and do the others.

Sorry, I meant darker first because if you make a mistake you can always cover up light paint mistakes on darker painted walls.
Tape your corners and ceilings.
