Those with experience with PP, could fluctuating BF'ing hormones make it worse at times than others?

I dont' have experience with PPD, but I would think the hormone fluctuation is not from bf'ing but from the fact that there is no baby inside you anymore to absorb those excess hormones.

I actually think that women who BF are less prone to PPD b/c BF'ing releases endorphins. I believe I read this before but I could be wrong.

Im not sure I would say that BF makes PPD worse. But BF does take alot of energy out of your body and makes you more tired, fatigued and hungry. When you add that to the standard sleep deprivation I suppose at times it could seem like it is bring you down. It is really important to drink lots of water when BF and eat when you need to. Good luck with the sleep part though!

YES! I didnt have PP I had the baby blues. My hormones were off the wall when I was BFing, and it came to a point where I wanted to stop just so I could get balanced out again, and feel back to normal. I didnt stop (guilt) I BF Julia for 11 months. I still feel my hormones aren't the same even though I'm done with it, I still get very emotional from time to time, and have lots of mood swings.
