Teething at 2 months?
The past few days Julia has been sucking her fingers and putting her hand in her mouth - and no she's not hungry
Is this a sign of teething? At 2 months?
TIA

No i don't think so..... Sofia is almost 3 mos and she just started doing the same thing. This is the time they figure out they have fingers and hands.

Re: Teething at 2 months?
Its rare, but totally possible. I swear Aidan started teething at birth.
He started with the hands and super drooling around 2 1/2 months, but he seemed really uncomfortable around 3 1/2, so I called the Dr and asked if Baby Orajel was ok since the package said not for infants under 4 months. She discouraged and said to give him Tylenol instead, because "she highly doubts" its teething anyway.
Well guess who got TWO bottom teeth 1 week later??????? He wasn't even 4 months.

I don't think so -JMO but rather just her exploring her body and she has now found her "fingers" ... wait till she finds her feet & toes in a few months, they will be in her mouth too!

Re: Teething at 2 months?
Katie has been doing that since about 2 months too, and no teeth yet. She is 5 months old.

Re: Teething at 2 months?
I want to say it could be, because that is when Andrew started with his hands in his mouth and he got teeth very soon afterwards. It really depends on the child. Some teeth take ahile to come in, but the children can feel the sensation under their gums.

Re: Teething at 2 months?
Ryan is a 3 months and if he had it his way, he'd be shoving both fists in his mouth at the same time. I don't think its teething, just like everyone else has mentioned, them discovering their hands.

DD does this and she is only 5 weeks! Even after I nurse her she does it too so we have no clue what it is...
