I work for one of those firms and they really are great for moms to work at. They have flexible work arrangements, you can telecommute (work from home), work p/t with full benefits, etc.

The company I worked for out of college is on the list....Now that I'm a mom, I wish I worked there again. They were really flexible and had awesome benefits.

Re: Top 100 companies for mothers to work for
I work for a mid-sized company, so they are definately not on the list. However, I really can't complain about the benefits offered to us. And, I work for a top senior partner and he is very understanding.

i used to work for the magazine that wrote that article and it was the WORST place to work for ever...the editor who wrote that book is soooo fake and a total liar...her OWN working environment s*cked so i hold no stake in that articles opinion :)
eta: it makes me laugh b/c most of that list r companies that used to sponsor our events..."very interetsing"

Re: Top 100 companies for mothers to work for
My company always prided themselves on being a "family friendly" firm. I recently learned they meant THEIR OWN family. An employee told me on Monday she overheard a partner here get a resume (hopefully not my replacement) saying "throw it out - i don't care how good she is - she's 29 years old...probably just got or is getting married...will want to start a family". I guess he's harboring some ill feelings towards me?????????????

My company is on there - I can't say they really qualify either. I guess my definition of family friendly is a little different.
