Going to the front of the line AFTER leaving the store...

thoughts?

I was at the craft store buying (too much) scrapbook stuff.

I waited on line, chatted with the sales girl, walked to my car and realized that she overcharged me on a few things.

I walked back in the store, saw a long line, and walked up to the other cashiers (mine was gone).

A cashier tells me to walk over to her counter. A guy was there, so I set my stuff down next to him. Turns out, I put my stuff on the counter of the casher who was going to ring the guy up. I said "oh, sorry" picked up my stuff and moved.

He said "Miss, I just want to pay"

I said "Okay, I'm moving out of your way"

He says "Miss, I know you just want to take care of your business, but I want to pay."

I said "Okay, I just walked out of the store, turned around and came back"

He says "Well, there's a line"

I said "And I waited on it"

He says "it's my turn now" (while he's already being rung up)

So, I said "AND IT LOOKS LIKE YOU'RE ALL SET NOW"

Of course, everyone in the store was looking at ME like I was the villain.

So, should I have gone to the end of the line when I walked back in????

welcome to LIF!

it depends on the store, how long the line was, etc.... or maybe i would have asked someone on the floor first so it looks like theyre bringing me up to the counter.

im not sure, but i dont think you did anything wrong
