Ugh! I have a really bad ear infection. Do I see my OB or a primarycare dr for a Rx?

I'm not sure who to call when the office opens. Thanks.

I answered your post on the parenting board -your primary care physician. As Melerbernai suggested, I double checked my Rx with my ob/gyn office.
And definitely mention you're pregnant i- f it's not obvious - to any doctor you go to. My friend went to an acupunturist when she was pregnant. Afterwards we were discussing pain pressure points during labor and where to press - and I explained that in Chinese medicine it's also for headaches & to induce miscarriage. Her face went white -bc the acupunturist had put a needle in that very spot for her migraines. She went immediately back to him & explained the situation. He said once wouldn't do it but always mention pregnancies to any health care practioner (chiropractic, etc).

PCP!! I just went through this myself. I would just run any meds prescribed by your obgyn.

When I had strep/sinus infection I went to my GP. After the fact, my OB told me next time come to them and they will give me a Rx and diagnose me. It's nice because they will take me in as soon as I can get there and I dont have to wait for an appointment.

Thanks! I called my OB first, they said see my PCP and then call them with the prescription to make sure my OB thinks it's safe.

That's a good idea (re: make sure the meds are safe), hope you feel better soon!
