I saw La Traviatta at the Met a few years ago. It was very moving, I really enjoyed it.

Also saw Swan Lake at the Met and Nutcracker at Stamford Arts center.

I loved it, but I can see that how some people might not like it / understand it.

I have been to the Opera at Lincoln Center both New York City Opera and THe met. For Opera you either love it or hate. For me I loved it. There are subtitles for you to understand what is going on. You DO NOT have to get in Black Tie attire to go. If you want you can. But nowadays, I see people who where jeans. Personally, I wouldn't do that.

I have seen La Traviatta, Tosca, Sweeney Todd, La Boheme, Don Giavanni, and Carmen.

I haven't seen a Ballet, but I've seena lot of Modern dance at the Joyce and City Center, etc. I've seen Alvin Ailey quite a few times. They're amazing. I saw them do the Velveteen Rabbit when i was a kid Chat Icon

The opera, I've seen quite a few things, The Marriage of Figaro, Brigadoon and Tosca at least. Had a wonderful time!

I worked at American Ballet Theatre in NY - they perform in the Metropolitan Opera House for 8 weeks in the Spring. New York City Ballet performs at the State Theatre which is across the plaza at Lincoln Centre.

I used to go all the time! It has been a while....actually I have not gone since I started dating DH......hmmm, I think I need to go home & smack him a little.

I love it & my favourite opera is still M. Butterfly.

I have been to one opera and while I didn't hate it, I don't see going back anytime soon. It is definetly something to see at least once...the performances, staging, costumes, etc are amazing. There are subtitles displayed on the seat in front of you so it's very easy to follow.

I have been to several ballets and really enjoy them.

I've never been to an opera, though I really want to go.

My Mom and I go to the Ballet several times a year and have been doing this for as long as I can remember.

I've seen most of them! (I think!)
