Since you ladies are always so helpful, I have another Do I need question..
Well 2 questions..
I'm planning on using this infant car seat shown below. Will I still need strap covers and/or a head rest? (pics below) It looks like the infant seat has both.
ALSO if I don't run my dishwasher every night, should I invest in a bottle sterlizer?
THANKS

I don't think you need the strap covers, but I would get a head rest. You won't believe how tiny the baby will be at first in the car seat

I love those little puppy straps or whatever animal those are. Where did you find those? I registered for a bottle sterilizer b/c I don't plan on putting them in the dishwasher (too much food floating around). I plan on using it and washing bottles by hand. We'll see how that goes!

We never had the covers or headrest and DD was fine, but it can't hurt and they're probably comfy!
Also, I recommend the Avent microwave steam sterilizer. It's very small and stores easily. It only takes 4 minutes to sterilize. Want to hear a truly embarassing mommy confession?? My DD will be 1, yes 1, on 9/7 and I *still* use it It's just so easy, and gets put away, so I say why not? I promise though, I'm giving it up next week when we're away!

I would advise on the sterilizer, the dishwasher can take up to an hour, the sterilizer only takes like 8 minutes. Its a few bucks well spent

I never had a sterilizer, I just boiled in a pot.
I actually bought a microwave sterilizer, then returned it.

Re: Since you ladies are always so helpful, I have another Do I need question..
I took another mommy's advice (Anna ) and I only keep out two bottles during the day. I just wash them each time and then at the end of the day, I put them in the dishwasher. It's so much easier. I have a sterilizer, but I always felt like there were bottle bits and pieces all over the place. So cluttered and it annoyed me. As for the headrest, we got the pillowy ones, but they are really big. I think it's great for them and they need it.

Definitely a headrest as told to me by a BTDT mom. Our car seat comes with one so make sure youfind out if yours comes with one before you buy it.

I agree, I also had strap covers too when DS was small, they kept his little head from falling forward.

I don't run mine every night either. I got the avent microwave sterlizer and used it to clean the bottles the other night. I have no complaints about it. I also know it wasn't very expensive.

You should be fine. I used the Avent micro sterlizer with dr bronwns bottles. Just pile everything in...you don't need to worry about placing all the pieces the way they show you in the instructions for the sterlizer.
