Leg cramps
I have been getting leg cramps for about a week now and I am only about 6-8 weeks pregnant. The pain is not constant and it switches legs like every couple days. I am so scared that it could be a blood clot, it feels better when I walk around. I go to my first gyno appointment on wednesday, will he be able to check my legs for a blood clot? Could it be anything else this early in my pregnancy?

Re: Leg cramps
are they cramps like charly horses? cause if so its pretty normal. Try adding potassium to your diet by eating bananas. If you don't think thats the problem then just call your Dr.

Re: Leg cramps
It could be a potassium deficiency. Increase banana intake.

Re: Leg cramps
I agree with the advice of eating bananas and drinking more fluids
... keeping hydrated is so important for us preggos.. And potassium helps with the leg cramping ..
Feel better!

Re: Leg cramps
thank you for the suggestions. Do you also think it can be a blood clot? I am a hypocondriac and this is really worrying me.

A blood clot usually poses as a swollen reddend area that is painful to touch. Are these any of your symptoms? Just wanted to point out that blood clots are rare unless you have a clotting disorder or you are confined to bed due to injury or illness.
