Eminem has brought in a mediator to broker his second divorce from estranged
wife Kimberley Mathers.

The 'Lose Yourself' rapper - who filed for divorce on April 5 after just 82
days of their second marriage - brought the legal expert in after the couple
failed to agree a settlement during a meeting with lawyers on Tuesday
(09.19.06).

Macomb County Circuit Judge Antonio Viviano said: "We didn't settle it, so
all we did was set it for mediation."

Eminem - real name Marshall Mathers III - and Kimberley have one daughter
together, 10-year-old Hailie. She also has a daughter from a previous
relationship, while Eminem has full custody of his niece Alaina.

The rapper's lawyer, Harvey Hauer, explained: "Mr Mathers' only concern is
the welfare of his children. Hopefully, we'll put the matter behind us."

Kimberley's legal advisor Michael J. Smith added: "Likewise, what she really
wants is the welfare of the children. The parties are hopeful that it will
be settled amicably."

The couple married for the first time in 1999 but divorced in 2001. They
remarried this year on January 14.

Meanwhile, Eminem is getting ready to release his next album.

'Eminem Presents: The Re-Up' - which will be released in December - is a
showcase CD that aims to promote artists signed to the rapper's label, Shady
Records.
