Getting rid of night time feeding?
Katie usually eats anywhere from 1 am to 3. She had her 6 month check up and the ped said she no longer needs it and we should do away with it by letting her cry through it. He said she will adjust in a few days and just eat more during the day.
Any thoughts?

Re: Getting rid of night time feeding?
I feel like it is mean to let her cry when I know she is hungry....

but she may not be hungry....it might be out of habit....she's USED to waking up and getting a bottle (and a cuddle).

Re: Getting rid of night time feeding?
Sunny - Our DD's are pretty close in age. I am going to start letting her CIO w/the night time feedings because I feel like it is out of habit, and she slept thru the night - 2 nights ago. So I know she doesn't need it.

Re: Getting rid of night time feeding?
We just waited until Miranda got rid of it on her own which was around 7 months maybe a little sooner, I think. Occasionally if she doesn't eat enough dinner or drink much of her bedtime bottle she will wake up hungry and I feed her but that isn't very often.
