I am having problems sleeping on my left side

29 wks & I can't sleep anymore. I am tossing and turning. The last couple of nights when I sleep on my left, my hip starts to hurt. I can only sleep on my left for about 1/2 hour. Then I turn to my right side which is so much better. When I turned to my right, I sleep for a good 3 hours. I know I am not suupose to be sleeping on my right side, but that is the only way I can sleep. I do use a body pillow but doesn't help much. I just don't know what to do and if this continues, it's going to be a long 11 weeks.

I have a hard time also..it hurts after a while i switch back and forth from left to right. as long as you are not on your back it is ok. The body pillow helps it takes a lot of getting use to though.

You can sleep anyway you are comfortable, according to my dr. Dont put too much pressure on yourself to sleep on your left side. If the baby is uncomfortable, they will let you know. If you feel any pins and needles or shortness of breath, switch positions. I rarely sleep on my left side, my dr said its fine and my baby is OK.

I hate my left side and forced myself this whole pregnancy to sleep on it. Right was so much better!! Now at 39.5 weeks I do whatever is comfortable!
