Mom's with 2 babies/kids in one room....
how do you find it? We are moving into a house with 3br on the 1st floor and 2br on the 2nd, but the 2 upstairs are very big, with a br in the middle. I can't decide to make the office, playroom, and guest room on the main, and our bedrooms upstairs, (dd's would have to share a room, which is already painted perfectly for little girls - they are 5 months and 22 months). Or to have an office/spare room and put their playroom upstairs, so that they can each have their own room downstairs. Any thoughts?

my daughters LOVE sharing a room, their beds are pushed together and I just think it is priceless to share a room with your sibling. Ask me again when they are teenagers, by then I'm hoping to have ad major reconstruction done and can offer them their own rooms

My 2 older kids dont share rooms, although my boys will eventually, but I think for your set up, the upstairs as bedrooms sounds like the best set up. I think having a playroom on the first floor would be ideal too when it comes to cooking or cleaning and wanting to keep an eye on them.

My 2 boys are together *only* because I have 2 BR up and 2 BR down and I want us to all be on the same floor. I definitely would have given them their own rooms. My 3 year old (tomorrow!) is constantly waking the baby in the morning or during naps (only because he knows it annoys me!!)

I have the same situation. Although, since Gianni woke up all night long, we have the crib in our room. We are starting to transition them together now. I forsee lots of playing and giggling.

We have ours in separate rooms right now. I grew up in the same room as my sister. It certainly preps you for future roommates, learning to compromise, drawing the line down the middle of the room, etc.
I would put the office/guest/play room on the first floor. Eventually you may have parents that come for a visit. Going up & down the stairs can be inconvenient. Also if you spend most of your time at ground level in your office, you'll be in earshot of the playroom. Leave them getting their own rooms for when they become b!tchy teenagers.
