Anyone ever been to the huntington fall festival?
Has anyone ever been to the hungtington fall festival at Hecksher state park? We are looking for something to do this weekend and I found this fall fest but I was looking for some feedback first since its 22 dollars just to get in. TIA

I have been to it and i dont remember ever paying to get in..... It was okay. There were a lot of craft fair type booths, food, rides and games for the kids.

I've been there, and I don't recall paying. I think if you want to go on the carnival rides, you have to pay for a wristband, but just to walk around the festival should be free.
If the weather is nice, we'll be going one day this weekend.

Ok..maybe I read the site wrong..very possible since my brain is SHOT! 
Are the vendors good there? They claims over 300 vendors..Just wondering if its worth travelling from long island city for.
Ahhh your right! Its only the wristband you have to pay for. DUH! LOL Thanks!

its very big, but also very crowded. I went a few years ago, they had pony rides, petting zoo, carnival rides, etc.

Hmmm - I am not sure if it's worth a ride from the city. It's kind of like a big outdoor craft fair/carnival. If the weather is nice i think its a nice thing to walk around..... Parking can be a little difficult.
The town of Huntington is nice though - so if you didnt enjoy the fair you could always walk around the town!

the sea cliff mini mart is this sunday too. usually bigger then the huntington one too.

It's like a big, outdoor craft fair/carnival like lululu said. Parking will be tough...
But the village of Huntington offers great restaurants and some cute shops - so if you get bored at the fair, you could always walk around town.
