Did anyone actually drive in to Manhattan today?
I did. But i doubt many here did.
Had to come in after the 11am restriction since my TT only has two seats and I can't possibly fit four in my car.

How did you get in? I came from Long Island and it was smooth sailing until I got off Maurice Avenue on the LIE. It took me over an hour from when I got off Maurice Avenue... until I made it over the 59st bridge.

Took the Midtown Tunnel, then FDR to downtown (i'm on wall st.). It was weird, there was an HOV lane, but no one seemed to use it, so we used it. The other 4 lanes, it wasnt that bad either-but the cops stopped almost every car to see if there was 4 ppl in it. It took about 40 min...

from Maurice Ave to 56/6 took 40 minutes at 7 a.m. We took the back roads to the midtown tunnel and not a stitch of traffic.

Re: Did anyone actually drive in to Manhattan today?
There are no restrictions after 11am to come into the city.
But remember those streets in manhattan (like 5th and 6th avenue, 48th and 49st, etc etc)... are restricted until 8pm. But thats no big deal... just take alternate routes.

Yeap. I work right by the bridge and i have a monthly parking in one of the garages.
But you know... now that I think about it... i might actually take the LIRR home today and leave my car at the garage. Traffic coming home will be mass murder I am guessing.
