Re: Ex-Smokers...is it normal to feel...

Not sure if it's normal but I was very depressed my first week. I even started to cry one day when DH lit up in ront of me - he quit 3 weeks after I did.

Just chug some ice cold water and head out for a walk and enjoy how good your hands and hair smell.

I tried to do a lot in the first few weeks to change the patterns and habits in my everyday life and it really helped. I also gave myself some perks - shopping, facial, mani/pedi massage to keep up my spirits.

Thanks...I smoked the most at night while on the phone talking to family and friends so far this week I managed to avoid the phone...so I guess I am also feeling depressed because i really haven't spoke to anyone...but I am scared to get on the phone cause I am gonna want to smoke. Chat Icon

Can you get on your cell and go out for a walk while talking on the phone? Or find another activity to do while on the phone like treadmill or knitting. Anything, just something to keep your body occupied and working.

You should definitly keep connected to your friends and family. They'll be a big help.
