Re: When did you know you were ready

I think you just KNOW when you're ready. If you can think of many excuses as to why you should wait (you want to buy a house, or finish paying back debt, or want to take a couple more vacations, etc), then you're most likely not ready. Also, you might be scared... which is normal, because it's definitely a life-altering difference. Butwhen you are, you'll want to put TTC as top priority, and keep running with that until that child you conceived is 18 and in college. You'll no longer have a selfish mentality that we've all grown to love, and put your kin 1st.

Re: When did you know you were ready

We just knew. We talked about it from the time we were dating for only 2 months until we got married. We knew we wanted to start right away. However, if we were younger (say, in our early 20's) we would have waited a little while. When we got married I was 31 and DH was 37....now we're closing in on 32 and 38...so I'm glad we didn't wait.

we both knew too. I know I wanted a baby before DH, and I NEVER pushed him. One day he just said lets have a baby.

I pushed a little, but only because I had this sneaking suspicion that it was going to be hard for us.

I've been ready for a while now. DH had to get there on his own time. I do think the pressure is different for most men and mine needed a little nudge.

I agree with Lisette, I think you just know yourself and then you know together.
