Need help with baby shower locations! (Nassau)
My parents are in Florida for a few months but my mom said that she'd fly up for my shower if I wanted one. Sooooo..... can anybody recommend a good place in Nassau to have a shower? I just have to give her a list of places and she'll take it from there.
Thanks!

I had both my bridal and baby showers at Peppercorn's in Hicksville. Everyone loved the food, the staff was great and it's walkable from the Hicksville train station, which was great for my cousins from Brooklyn who don't drive. It's one of my favorite restaurants.
They have a private party room upstairs, but my showers were pretty small, so we were in the main dining room downstairs.

Perfect! We're from East Meadow and most of the rest of the family is in Queens/Brooklyn and a few in Suffolk. Thanks!
Any others?

What about the George Washington Manor? Didn't you have your reception there (I'm not a stalker, I had my wedding there too)
Anyway, I'd love to have my sons Christening there but it's too far from our church. I've been to a few great showers there.

What about Violettas in Merrick? It is on Sunrise HWY right off teh Meadowbrook. They have a private party room upstairs. I eat there often and have been to two parties there both which were great

Yes, that's where our reception was! Good memory! Hmmm....that's a thought. I think my mom wanted to keep it more low-key, like a restaurant, but I'll add that to the list. Thanks!

I had my reception at the GWM too.
I went to a 75th b'day at Peppercorns as well as a bridal shower. I liked that place a lot.
Milleridge Inn is also nice- went to a baby shower there and a 90th b'day party. They have some smaller, cozy rooms and the food's very good.

7th Street Cafe in Garden City - I had my bridal shower there, and it was very nice.
Or we had our rehersal dinner at the Cole House in Glen Cove - also very nice.

Great ideas! I'm still on the fence about whether or not I'll even have a shower....so I may post a thread in a second to get everyone's opinion....but keep the suggestions coming!
