Kitchen cabinets color...

What color do you think we could paint the cabinets that would look nice?

I don't want white. All of our furniture in the DR and LR are modern and black and gray with the couches and part of the DR/kitchen wall being a soft greenish color. The floors are a darker wood color, the fridge is black and stainless steel. Right now the countertops are white and they continue up the walls (backsplash area). UGLY!!! But we'll end up replacing that too, just not right now. I can't seem to come up with a color?

I was thinking about a nice somewhat darker gray color for the cabinets and the outside part of the doors, and the middle of the doors are a different piece of wood (kind of) so I thought we could paint that a lighter gray color?

I don't know... Any ideas?

Gray or a darker green,

If you are going for a true modern look I'd say grey.
