November Moms - Thanksgiving Question
What is everyone doing? Are you going somewhere or hosting?
I was thinking I'd rather be home so if I want to nap or BF I'll be comfortable...I'll have my MIL, SIL and mom make the meal.
Anyone give any thought to this yet?

Re: November Moms - Thanksgiving Question
I have both Thanksgiving and Christmas planned out. We are staying home just us!!!
For Thanksgiving the baby will only be a week old, plus I will be recovering from a c-section, and the baby will be 5 weeks for Christmas. So I am fine for us to stay at home alone. We are actually quite thrilled. My Dad is going to bring us over food on both holidays

Same here for Thanksgiving! For Christmas we might head over to my mom's since she is close by. We normally go upstate to my MIL's but with all of the other kids always sick - I want to keep her free of germs that young!

Re: November Moms - Thanksgiving Question
We'll stay at our house for Thanksgiving -- maybe inviting ILs. It really depends on when the baby is born. We'll probably go to dinner at ILs for Christmas, though. We definately want to keep it low-key.

Re: November Moms - Thanksgiving Question
I always have Thanksgiving at my parent's house so we will do that. It's my favorite holiday, I can't wait
ETS: my mom lives 4 houses away from me.

Re: November Moms - Thanksgiving Question
I'm an October mom, but we're planning on going to my mom's for Thanksgiving. My parents will be inviting my in-laws (they did last year too) so hopefully that day will be pretty easy.

Re: November Moms - Thanksgiving Question
My parents are coming to visit from FL. They are arriving the Tues. before, my dad is going home the Sunday after, and my mom is staying the following week to "help" with the baby because DH has to be away for work. To be honest, I was looking forward to a quiet Thanksgiving with just us and our new addition. I'm a little bit apprehensive about the whole visit because my father is a HUGE pain in the rear. He is very critical and negative. Being stuck in our 2 bedroom apt with him for 5+ days is not something I'm looking forward to. But I figure if he starts driving me crazy I'll just go in my room to feed the baby. I have a feeling I'll be spending LOTS of time in there.

Re: November Moms - Thanksgiving Question
Well since I live in Putnam County and the family is in LI - they will come to me. THe doctor suggested that I don't go more than 1/2 hour away from the hospital. My mom claims I'll be able to help - you know peel potatoes and stuff, but we'll see about that
It will just be me, DH, my mom and MIL.
Christmas we usually do x-mas day with the inlaws and the weekend before x-mas with my family. We decided that once we have the baby we will stay home x-mas day (so I'm not sure what the inlaws want to do) It really all depends on what the doctor says about having the baby around kids and lots of people. I hope to be able to go see the family

Re: November Moms - Thanksgiving Question
I'm due the wknd before Thanksgiving, so everyone kind of knows that holiday is up in the air with us. It all depends when the little one makes an appearance. If we've had the baby, we'll say they are more than welcome to come by with food lol, if not, we will probably stop by our local family and invite over FIL who is close by.

Re: November Moms - Thanksgiving Question
My Due Date is actually on Thanksgiving Day. I have no clue what we are doing and I guess it all depends when the little one decides to make his appearance. I can't wait to meet him.
