Plain 'ol nursery colors...
what color is yours? Got a pic?
If you did a mural or some special detailed painting...was that wall a different color?

Re: Plain 'ol nursery colors...
I've posted these before, but I'll post again When we moved into our house, we painted this bedroom light blue... when I found out I was pregnant, we kept the light blue and DH put up wainscotting and I painted little creatures above the wainscotting... hopefully you can get a good look with the first pic: Image Attachment(s):

Re: Plain 'ol nursery colors...
Yeah, if I had it my way we would have painted it green or yellow, but I LOVE light blue so IF I have a little girl, she's just going to have to get used to it!
No, the wainscotting isn't expensive at all... you can pick it up at Home Depot, and you can get the kind that's already primed, or the wood color one and prime it yourself (which is a major pain) - that one is cheaper. I think the wainscotting itself cost about $80. DH had to cut it to size and then nail it in. You also have to get some molding to go on top and some strips to cover hte corners, but all in all it shouldn't cost more than $100-$150, depending on the size of the room...

It definitely depends on the size of the room because for our room the wainscotting kit was going to be close to $300 and I decided not to do it only because we aren't sure how long we're staying in this house so paint and chair rail was cheaper. I would measure your room and then you can go to Home Depot and figure out approximate cost.

Beautiful! I could move into this room! and we painted our nursery light blue before the baby was born and he turned out to be a boy but we would have kept it for a girl.

My house is the same way. No room is done but the nursery. I guess everyone will just have to hang out in there.
