Usually 20 wks at your Level II sono, but sometimes they can tell a few weeks earlier.

I couldn't wait either, so my doctor told me that I could make the appointment for my anatomy scan for anytime after 18 weeks. I had to see her at 18 weeks as well, then at 14 weeks she forgot to give me the referral
So, I called the perinatology office and made the appointment for 18 weeks, 1 day. One day after my 18 week appointment with the doctor where I got the referral
My doctor thought that was hysterical.

Perinatalogist told me at my Ultrascreen that he was pretty sure it was a boy...Additional sonogram at a few days shy of 15 weeks said boy again..I didnt believe it until the Level II sonogram when the perinatalogist gave us permission to paint the nursery blue..I stilll dont believe it some times.

I found out in the delivery room
They asked me at my Level II if I wanted to know the gender. I also had a sono done in the hospital at 16 weeks, and the tech asked if we were going to find out. I told her no, and she said , "Oh OK" and turned the screen around so I could not see....so I am assuming at that point she could see.

When we went for the level II, the tech said she thought it was a girl but told us not to paint the nursery pink. When I had the growth sono done we were told it was definitely a girl

I would have been able to see last week at 17 weeks if the baby would have stood still....he or she was moving all over the place and of course didn't open the legs So now I have to wait for my 20 week.
My sister found out she was having a boy at 16 weeks!

At 12 wks 6 days at our ultrascreen, the dr. showed us his boy "parts" and told us he was 80% or more sure it was a boy but, since it was still too early to tell we shouldn't start planning on it.
At my 20 wk sono the dr. confirmed our little guy is indeed a little
