Blinds ...
We bought a new house two years ago. A house with lots of windows - about 30. We really haven't done anything with the windows yet. Unless you count paper shares 
After the new year, I would like to get some window treatments going to finally complete the house. More importantly, I would like to get vertical blinds installed on a majority of the windows. I see lots of advertisements out there for companies that provide the blinds and installation (I'm not handy). Has anyone had this work done before? If so what was the price and is there a company you can recommend. I live in Eastern Suffolk.

We had the same paper ones for over a year too! We finally got real ones last spring for the whole house. We went to Blinds to go, the Carle Place location, but I believe they are all over.
We had someone from there come and measure every window, it cost I think about $50. After placing the order, it came in very fast. We then used the same company to install them. It was $15 per window. Blinds to go recommended 2 companies for the measuring and installing services.
The cost for the blinds themselves was very reasonable. We thought it was going to be much more then it was. We even got 10% off the whole order, which I believe they give to everyone. We got the fabric pleated shades, but they have many different styles and kinds. And the blinds have a warranty, so if they should break they will replace them.

My Dad owns a custom window treatment business on LI. He has always been good to LI Weddings members. You won't get a better price, trust me!

No website but he advertises in the yellow pages, numerous pennysavers, etc.

Why don't you just pay LIF to advertise,its more "honest" this way. Better for business to!
