Re: 1st Sonogram...
totally normal. It still may be early to see the heartbeat. With my 1st, I had a sono at around 6 weeks. There was no heartbeat yet that we could see. My docotr said it was too early.

Re: 1st Sonogram...
That is very common! Alot of times, you are earlier than you expect and it is just too early to see or hear a HB. I am praying that when you go back, everything will be okay!

Re: 1st Sonogram...
That is really early- I would be concerned if it was 8 or more weeks.
Hang in there- the wait is the worst

Re: 1st Sonogram...
Dont worry---theres alot of sono nightmares around here today..
It is perfectly normal. I went three times and they finally saw it-it is still too early for me to hear it. They did not see anything at 6.5 for me..just like you, by next week they will see a heartbeat.

Re: 1st Sonogram...
when i was 6 weeks, my doctor wouldn't even do a sonogram because she said we probably wouldn't even be able to see the baby at all. It will be hard not to worry, but its very possible that everything is fine.

Re: 1st Sonogram...
Please, please, please do not be concerned. The hearbeats are the size of a pin head at this point. As great as these machines are they still have their limitations... It can depend upon the technician, angle, etc.
I know of a few babies whose heartbeats they couldn't find until later on... they are now obnoxious 10 and 12 year olds with not one problem.
Don't be concerned and don't listen to any negative stories... I'm sure your bean will be fine.

Re: 1st Sonogram...
I was 6 weeks on the nose and we were able to see the heartbeat. the lil bean flickered. the bean was small but when they zoomed in we all saw it beating. She told me had I come in a day earlier we may not have been able to see it. Dont panic, did you see the baby? Im sure everything is fine
