Weight question for ladies 6 months plus...(long)

I made the mistake of weighing myself after a family party last night and almost fell over. I was feeling relatively good about myself until then...I am currently 25 weeks, 3 days ( I know those 3 days really countChat Icon ) and the last time I was weighed was more than three weeks ago. I feel like I made a big jump from week 21/22 to 25wks. My friend said she made a big jump from 25 to 28 weeks...NOW I am so scared I am going to blow up in these upcoming weeks again.Chat Icon
When did you feel like you had the biggest weight gain? (My books all said between months 6 and 7)

I had lost in the beginning, so I was down 12 lbs. In my 5th or 6th month I'd say there was one week when I gained back about half of that 12 lbs. Then no gain at all again until 2 weeks ago, which is when I started swelling and retaining water and gained a little bit then also.

At my 28 week appointment I had gained 9lbs in 4 weeks. My dr told me that I should only gain a 1lb a week, that said everyone told me not too worry. I have slowed down on the devil dogs but I am trying not to worry about it too much.

So it is totally normal! Dont be sad~Chat Icon Chat Icon

This happened to all of my friends. They said between 6 and 7 months they gained anywhere from 12-17 pounds. I'm already prepping myself for the huge jump since I've only gained 8 pounds up until now at 23 weeks. There's nothing you can do. Your body starts taking on the weight from all the fluids, placenta, blah blah blah. Hang in thereChat Icon

I also couldnt believe it when i went in for my 24 week appointment. I had gained 8 pounds in 4 weeks. So at that point all together i gained 25 pounds so far. I was like WHAT THE HELL????? But since that last appointment, and i go tomorrow for my 28 week appointment, i think i gained only 2 pounds. So i do think the weight comes on more at certain points and then may level off. Dont worry!!! You'll be fine... it all adds up, the weight of the uterus, placenta, baby, water retention, etc etc.... Dont freak out! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I gained my most weight by my 28 week appointment. My total weight was up 29lbs. I was told that the weight gain starts to slow at this point?

I'd say after my big jump I did about a 1lb a week...and then the past 2/3 apts. I had gained nothing... thats with being on steroids..and being so swollen... so I would def. say your weight gain slows...and I feel less hungry too!

So far my biggest jump was at my 15 weeks when I gained 6 lbs.

I'm only up 10 all together, so I think I'm an exception to the norm (for now!)

I am 29 weeks and have gained a total of 24 pounds. I can't wait to get back to exercise and dieting... I can't stand being BIG! I sure hope the weight gain slows down from here...

I hope this is the case for me. I will be almost 27 weeks next time I see the Dr.
