35 questions from a Global History exam written on his hand.
A former assistant principal responsible for test security at Jericho High School has pleaded guilty to feeding answers from a state Regents exam to his teenage son, the state attorney general's office announced today.
The offense of official misconduct by the ex-school administrator, Isben Jeudy, is a Class A misdemeanor carrying a maximum sentence of a year in jail and a $1,000 fine. Sentencing is scheduled for May 15.
According to investigators and school officials, Jeudy was responsible for safeguarding Regents exam booklets and answer sheets during a June, 2005, administration. The leak was discovered when staffers at John Glenn High School in Elwood, where Jeudy's son was a special-education student, discovered that the teen had correct answers to 35 questions from a Global History exam written on his hand.
Elwood officials notified their counterparts in Jericho, who then discovered that the exam answer keys had been unsealed. Jeudy was suspended from his duties, and the Uniondale district, which had chosen him as its next high-school principal, rescinded the appointment.
"It appears to be the end of a very sad story," said Henry Grishman, the Jericho superintendent. Jeudy could not be immediately reached for comment.

You would think that since the kid had access to this info, he would have at least taken the time to memorize it instead of writing it on his hand!

So wrong. As a Global History teacher that P I S S E S me off. No way would I ever let one of my children or students cheat on a test.
It's people like this that give very hard working educators like myself a bad name.
And from a district that ships it's special ed. population out of district so it can remain "top" in test scores on LI. That's something that Newsday never explains when they report the "school report card" every year.
