Carlie Started Daycare today
It was so sad. She started to cry when I was leaving. DH says aty 3 months she doesn't really understand and she will be fine, but part of me is starting to second guess this whole thing.....

Re: Carlie Started Daycare today
Abby started yesterday at a daycare facility. Before that my neighbor watched her. Yesterday was horrible. She cried so hard and I cried even harder. Today was hard too. She clung to me and had to literally be ripped from me. I hope this gets better soon. I am not sure how much longer I can handle that every morning.
I know in my heart it will be fine and she will have a great time with the other kids once she adjusts but it is hard to remember that when she is crying so hard.

Re: Carlie Started Daycare today
The first few days are definitely the hardest on you...Bella started at 4 months and I was so sad but she could care less...
3 months is a good time to start because now that Bella is almost 7 months she is all smiles when she sees the women at daycare...she knows them...they love her and she loves them, it makes me feel so good.

She survived...and so did I . I called 3 times and she was fine. When I got there she seemed happy.

Re: Carlie Started Daycare today
Hang in there... it's hard as hell, but it will get better, I promise. I think it's just instinctual to second guess yourself, but right now you're in the thick of emotion. I'd wait a few months for everything to settle and get into a routine, and then see how you feel I remember for the first month, everytime I had to drop her off, as I was driving away I would start crying and it would take so much strength not to turn around, run back to her and take her home. But, now, a few months later, I see how important it is for me to be at work and how happy she is at the end of the day when she sees me and has a productive day at daycare... and I wouldn't trade it for the world
P.S. - try to get your hubby to do the drop off - it's MUCH MUCH harder than doing the pick-up!
