Xpost from Parenting-PP Weight Loss-What do you think?
Ok here's the situation I am trying to figure out
My baby girl is due 5/5/06, a very organized bride is having me order my bridesmaid dress for her wedding in Sept by March 1st.(I have no choice, she's nuts :)) Here is the dress.
The Dress
I will be about 8 months pg when I order, 3 months PP when I need to do alteration in August.
I checked the Bill Levkoff size charts and I prob a size 12-14 right now, Do you think if I order a size 10 I should be able to fit into it 3 months PP? (I gained about 29 lbs already, almost 30 weeks)
PLease help!! Thank you!!

I would probably order a size 12 for two reasons.... bridesmaid dresses always seem to run small, and it is always easier to take in then let out. It is a pretty form fitting, so you don't want to be stuffed in, and uncomfortable.

I totally agree order a size 12. Better to be safe than sorry. Also, my girls wore Bill Levkoff and he runs a little on the small size. Plus the dress looks very form fitting.

I would talk to the store that is ordering the dresses. They might give you the advice to order the biggest size that they have and they can do the alterations to it, when you are ready

I would speak to the bridal shop too..air on the side of caution. If you are bfing, you can't diet the same as a non-bfing mom. plus you just don't need the stress of fitting into a certain dress while just becoming a mommy.

I would order the 12-14. I wouldn't want the stress of knowing I had to lose to fit into a dress by a certain date. Just make sure they will cap the alterations if you order the size they suggest. If you don't order the size they recommend you will have to sign a waiver usually that says that you will be responsible for all alterations needed regardless of the cost.

I would order the larger size. You might go down in weight but your body may not go back to the way it looked before pregnancy. You also don't know how quick you are going to lose the pregnancy weight.
