5 week old - HELP!

Is there a certain amount of formula you should limit your baby to at this stage..is there such a thing as too much

he drank 6oz already (which I think is alot)and slept for a half hour and is now up crying to be feed again...

he doesn't want his pacifier, or the swing, bouncy..and his diaper is clean..

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I have a docter appt on Tuesday which I then ask the docter, but I figured you ladies may have some good tips..TIA

Re: 5 week old

It may sound silly, but make sure he's not gassy. Give him a burp or try rotating his legs like he's riding a bicycle. Christopher was extremely gassy when he was younger and he would often confuse his gas pains with hunger pains and he'd constantly go for the bottle.
As long as it's not gas, give him what he needs. He may be going through a growth spurt. There's no set amount for how much a baby should be eating, because every baby is different. If he's hungry, let him eat. Chat Icon

Every baby is different and has different normal amounts. 6 weeks is a typical growth spurt and he may just be hungry. Chat Icon

I know there are different schools of thought on this, but I personally believe that most babies do not overeat and will be hungry when they are hungry. Chat Icon
