do they have to eat ceral? BTDT moms help!
MAdison hates it so much, but yesterday my mom watched her while I was at work and gave her applesauce and bananas and she loved it..... so do they have to have ceral? also how do i feed her, just one fruit for breakfast and dinner with a bottle??? we don't go back to the Dr. until september and he wanted her eating but did not tell me how........

i always mixed the cereal with a fruit in the morning, and then at dinner i would mix it with a veggie.....babies tend to love the applesauce, bananas, and pears.....and veggies they seem to love peas, carrots, squash, and sweet potatoes.....
peds recc the cereal bc it is loaded with iron, thats all.....reminder that besides rice cereal there is oatmeal (same aisle, same shelf), which my DD looooved and after the rice cereal was gone, we stuck with the oatmeal.
we did this routine 2X a day until almost 6 months, then we introduced lunch....and after 6 month, we got to know all the gerber foods she loved, and thats when i started making "real" fruits and veggies......

My DS hated the rice cereal. He LOVES the oatmeal....so maybe try that?? Also, my nephew only eats his cereal mixed with a teaspoon of fruit.
When I started my DS on cereal, I gave him cereal in the am and then again around dinner time, followed by his bottle.
Just be careful when starting the foods, give her one new food at a time so just in case she has a reaction you know what its from

They can start earlier at least taht what my ped says Because Cadence is 14lbs already we have been giving her cereal because my ped said she was having too much formula...

Madison hates both ceral's i went out and got the oatmeal the other day and she took it for 2 tries then shut down, she is 17 pounds and eating almost 8 ounces that is why i am giving her the food 2 weeks early, it is just sooooooo much formula. I am going to Target now so i am going to get some fruits for her to try at dinner and i will try and mix it with the ceral...

I mix it with her formula 1 tablespoon of each but i made it more soupy bc it was chunky at first for her...... i just started this week..... (2 weeks early)
