Embarrasing question about clothes return

I bought a pair of jeans at old navy. They are the same style and size as the jeans i ahve just in a different color. Thye did feel a little bit tight, i kind of moved around a bit in them and they ripped in teh front from the crotch to the knee. They werent incredibily tight but i was going to return them. Now they are ripped do i bring them back? They are a lighterwight jean so i guess they just are a lesser quality then the ones i have. I just feel embarrassed bringing them back, what should i do?

Re: Embarrasing question about clothes return

I probably wouldn't, but I worked at JCrew in high school and people brought back ripped/defective stuff all the time and got full refunds. If you still have the receipt you could just say it was defective.

Bring them back! Doesn't the gap and old navy have a policy about that, like if you wash your clothes and they don't hold up, bring them back? What's the difference? Bring them back and explain that your exact same pair fit perfectly, what happened to these?

Then I would definitely bring them back. IT sounds like there is something wrong with them.

IMO they're defective. Jeans shouldn't rip that easily.

If they give you a hard time, say that your bonehead DH bought them, and he didn't even notice the rip Chat Icon

If they ripped on the seam, then they're defective. They will take them back.

i know the gap has a 7 day (maybe 14) "no question asked" return policy. you can wash and wear and receive a full refund w/ the receipt. since they are owned by the same company, old navy might have the same policy.

Re: Embarrasing question about clothes return

Bring them back. I used to work at old navy and people would return stuff all the time that was damaged. Especially since you bought them yesterday, they won't give you any problems. Just tell them they ripped when you put them on, jeans shouldn't do that, even if they are a bit tight.

Re: Embarrasing question about clothes return

You can bring them back. I worked in retail for 14 years and I have horror stories I could tell you about.

Just a side not.... Unless I know I put it on the rack... always wash your stuff before you put it on. You should see what people don't wear while they are trying on.
