High Schools must hand over personal info of students to Military
I just found this out online. I think it's an invasion of family privacy. These are address and phone numbers of teenagers. This is to allow minor students to be recruited at home by telephone calls, mail and personal visits. Here's a form letter as to how to opt out. I signed the petition and when my brothers enter HS we will opt them out (if the new bill doesn't get passed).

You may not know it, but under a little known provision of No Child Left Behind, public high schools must hand over personal information about students -- including minors -- to local military recruiters, or risk losing federal education funding.
