SpinOff: Passport Question...
Anyone know the process of name change on a passport??? Do they take it? How much? what proof do I need? Any info would be great!!!

It has to be done by mail unless you have to fly immediately. You send them a marriage license and the application and your passport and within 6 weeks they send it back to you. I recommend you send it in a way you can track the delivery. They couldnt find mine and claimed they never received it. I sent it return-receipt requested and someone signed for it. Then I got it back the day after they claime they never received it.

Did you send your origional marriage license or a copy?? How much did it cost? Where did you get the application??

I got the application on line. I got a second original marriage license and sent that. I don't think there was a fee. You can check out everything online.

After I received my marriage license, I sent my application, etc in. About 3 weeks later, I received everything back with a post-it that read saying "Why not renew in 6 months when this expires?" I was furious. Good thing I didn't have a trip planned!
