My Everyday China is getting ruined...
I have the below everyday dishes from Fortunoff. They are the Venice pattern from 10 Strawberry Street.
It says on the Fortunoff Website that they are dishwaher safe (which is why I picked them as my everyday dishes)! But, every time I wash them, I find small cracks in the top layer of them! It is driving me crazy because I LOVE the set, but I am NOT continuing to wash these dishes by hand.
Has this happened to anyone else? Could it be the settings on my dishwasher or the detergent I am using? I called Fortunoff and they said I could return the entire set at the store, but I have SO many pieces (Set of 12 place settings, extra cereal bowls, Serving pieces, creamer and sugar bowl, gravy boat)... And I truly love the set... This is just such a pain!
Thanks so much!!!

Return them. That is bs. I'm sure they will have something else that you'll love.

Maybe it was a bad lot of them. Try another set and see what happens.

Do the dishes say they are dishwasher safe on the back?? Most china is NOT dishwasher safe unless you put it on the gentle cycle and even then there is no guarantee.

My everyday dishes from Fortunoff are also 10 Strawberry Street but they are square. I wash them all the time and haven't had a problem. Maybe it is just that pattern? I would DEF return them.
