Company or clothes?

So I have been looking forward to a few visits for weeks now. My sister arrives today at 3, she is here till Tuesday. Then our FL friends are coming up Tuesday night to stay for a week and help with our move.

Then early Nov, I have a cousin coming, then Thanksgiving company...

I love the fact that I won't be lonely...but the thought of being dressed for those weeks makes me ill.Chat Icon Bras and pants? W T F? when did I turn into this?Chat Icon

Re: Company or clothes?

I hear you!! I am at the stage where all my maternity clothes are summer stuff. I really don't want to buy too much fall stuff. And I'm most comfy in those tanks with the shelf bra and sweats (not attractive Chat Icon ) But I also want to go out as much as I can since I'll be home-bound most of the time when the baby comes. Ugh!!! I don't want to buy more maternity. And I'm getting so big it's gonna be harder to find stuff that fits. Oh, and forget about shoes!! It's getting too cold for flip flops and my slip on white Sketchers don't really cut it for a nice night out to dinner. Chat Icon But nothing fits my swollen feet!!!

eta: sorry to hi-jack!! I sympathize!! Hang in there. Chat Icon

Re: Company or clothes?

I think that we both went from working to not hurts as well. I am use to having clothes, now it seems silly for me to shop to just be around the house. No one really sees me.

Exactly!!! Plus the guilt factor doesn't help with me. I can't seem to feel good about spending $ that I don't "help earn." Even though DH says I do because I do everything at home.

words right out of my mouth! We planned for me to SAH, still can't get into the swing of things though...If I were working, I would have already bought that gap denim maternity jacket, now I just settle for the sweatshirt.

That's one of the good things about being a dance teacher, I get to wear cotton pants and tank tops to work every day.

I'm with you there too. And I am grateful that I can SAH. I know the guilt will go away when the baby comes. It's just now while I'm getting ready for Baby. I have to admit, I did splurge on maternity clothes a few times. Chat Icon But I felt very guilty. And I definitely would have splurged more if I was still working, although I would have needed more (& nicer) clothes if that were the case. See? I feel better already! Chat Icon

Lucky you!! That sounds so comfy. I do wear comfy at home too. It's the going out clothes I'm having a hard time with.
