Crib wedge (reflux issues)
does anyone here use the crib wedge that fits under the sheet? i think dd has reflux b/c she does not like to sleep on her back, gurgles alot, spits up and other signs. i tried the sleep positioner with the bumpers but got nervous b/c she slid down it and got stuck. so now i want to try the crib wedge. any reviews?
if your child has reflux, what other things have you done to alleviate it?

Re: Crib wedge (reflux issues)
We switched bottles to the Playtex Ventair Naturals. That helps. Also, we hold her up on our shoulder for 20 minutes after she eats. I propped her crib mattress up from under the mattress just using a towel. That's what my doctor suggested. The swing and the carseat help her, too. It sux when you know your baby has reflux because they're uncomfortable

Re: Crib wedge (reflux issues)
We also switched to Dr. Brown's and switched his formula which helped so much. We use a crib wedge in his crib and the inclined to sleep in his pack n play. We also feed him almost upright and keep him upright most of the time.
Reflux STINKS!!!!!!!!!

Have you asked your doctor? I know some recommend sleeping in the carseat or swing instead of the crib wedge.

Re: Crib wedge (reflux issues)
I use the wedge, but DD rolls off of it during the night/naps. I always find her parallel to it.
I BF with an occasional bottle, but i have found that keeping her upright for a 1/2 hour or so after she eats, and she does get pepcid for her tummy too.

Re: Crib wedge (reflux issues)
my doctor doesnt seem to believe me that she has bad reflux. i think he thinks i am being a nervous mommy. but she really has alot of symptoms: wheezing, spitting up, not wanting to lay on her back etc. so i am trying everything possible before i call him on friday. at least this way i can say i tried different things. we switched her formula already to a lactose free one, which seems to help with the gas.

Re: Crib wedge (reflux issues)
I didnt but the wedge but I proped up the side of the crib with a towel and then use two other towels on each side to help her not slide. She never spat up at night and I dont know if this is why or not. Her reflux is almost all gone but I still have them there because it also helps with her breathing and not being so congested.
